Why no one has responded to our Community Health Workers during this terribly pandemic?

Although the number of infected of COVID-19 people in Washington greatly exceeds those that have been laboratory-confirmed. There is total of 313,335 infected COVID-19 in the state based on WA DOH data. However, Hispanic has the higher rate of COVID-19 infection with a 32% compare to the other unreserved communities, while Hispanics are only 13% of Washington State.

Community Health Worker Coalition for Migrants and Refugees is working hard to reduce these number by providing direct and indirect services. We are now training more than 60 leaders of our community to give medical evidence-based information about COVID-19 and vaccine. We also serve as a bridge between the communities and the local resources by working with our trusted members of the community in 12 counties. As a leader of the CHWCM, I am very concern, because NO ONE has contacted me to vaccinate our CHWs although they expose themselves by distributing face mask, hand sanitizers, providing resources and education into our rural and underserved communities.
