CHWCMR is a coalition for actions, we have no time to waste when we need to support our communities in need. Two of our champions, Francisco Matías and Luis Amado contacted us to support “Mi fondita del Itsmo”, a restaurant that prepared food for the neediest in these times of pandemic in Seattle. Yes, it was not misspelled in Seattle, one of the richest cities in WA. They are the face of our creator, they are the face of color, homeless people, transgender and another segment of society that suffer in the most beautiful streets of Seattle.
More than 100 families came to the restaurant for a plate of food. Our CHWs were helping the restaurant to maintain social distance, to ask people to come pick up food for their families at a certain time, and to distribute the mask and educational materials donated by CHWCMR.
Thanks to our community champions, they can count on us and we count on them, we are just a force of justice of our community of Migrants and Refugees.
CHWCMR es una coalición para acciones, no tenemos tiempo que perder cuando necesitamos apoyar a nuestras comunidades necesitadas. Dos de nuestros campeones, Francisco Matías y Luis Amado nos contactaron para apoyar “Mi fondita del Itsmo”, un restaurante que preparó comida para los mas necesitados en estos tiempo de pandemia in Seattle. Sí, no estaba mal escrito en Seattle, una de las ciudades más ricas del estado de Washington. Ellos son el roste de nuestro creador, son el rosto de color, personas sin hogar, transgénero y otro segmento de la sociedad que sufren en las calles mas bellas de Seattle.
Mas de 100 familias vinieron al restaurante por un plato de comida. Nuestros CHWs estaban ayudando al restaurante a mantener la distancia social, a pedirle a las personas que vengan a recoger la comida para sus familias en un momento determinado y a distribuir la máscara y los materiales educativos donados por CHWCMR.
Gracias a nuestros campeones de la comunidad, ellos pueden contar con nosotros y nosotros contamos con ellos, justos somos una fuerza de justicia de nuestra comunidad de Migrantes y Refugiados.
