Airborne PM10 particles are pollutants with an aerodynamic diameter of 10 micrometers or less. They can come from natural sources like wildfires, volcanic emissions, and dust storms, as well as human activities such as vehicle traffic (especially diesel engines), industrial processes, mining, coal heating, agricultural work, and waste burning. These particles can impact respiratory and cardiovascular health, triggering issues like asthma attacks and reduced lung function.
