Reducing Structural Barriers and Health Disparities in Washington State

Transportation is a structrual barrier faced by many migrants and refugee to get the COVID-19 Vaccine.  Therefore CHWCMR is working with LISC to provide an Uber ride to get vaccinated.

Many migrants and refugees are obligated to use also SS; however, they can help them to pay for the cost to get an ITIN number. Thanks to Shen-Yen Lu Fundation.

 

A ITIN number is The ITIN number, helps to file tax returns and pay taxes. People who were earning certain types of income.

Care Vans Events

From August to October, 2021, we ran five direct outreach Care Vans, where we vaccinated a total of 121 peoples from Grant, Thurston, and Skagit County. This activity was in coordination of Washington Department of Health and had the participation of 16 CHWs.
