CHWCMR Census Activity on Olympia, Shelton, and Lynwood during the weekend.

Dr. Carlos Mejia and Nolvia Mejia talked about the importance of Latinos participation on the census to more of 70 members of the Grace Community Covenant Church on Saturday Feb. 8, 2020 in Olympia, and the Baptist Church on Sunday Feb. 9th in Shelton.

While, Dr. Michael Parchman, and Will Chen, Our Edmonds Housing Commissioner and Dr. Ponce-Gonzalez talked about the importance of Chinese participation in the 2020 Census at Navi Catering Kitchen in Lynwood on Sunday Feb. 9 at the Chinese New Year of the Chen Family Celebration to more than 40 people.

Participating in the census is a law that must be followed by all people living in the United States, regardless of their permanent address, race,, language, or nationality of origin. Since 1790, the census has counted all people living in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and in five US territories. USA.
