During these interactive training, the participants learn about the neuroscience of culture, the theory of the mind, mirror neuron effect, cultural competence and cultural humility by Drs. Mejia Rodriguez and Ponce-Gonzalez. While, four of our communities’ members: Lorena, Corina, Alan y Margarita acting as interpreters for USA students (US participants) who are registering at a Latin American College.

Here are some of the feedbacks:

“I thought I will get another boring course with another group of white people as me. However, it was a very enriching experience”
“Regarding the example, I was frustrated that I did not know what was going on, between the interpreter and the person acting as the staff at the registration”
“I would like this training to be institutional, everyone should have it as the academic level”
“We need you to train our personnel about these issues.

Thank you very much to the 30 participants, representatives of many organizations working with multicultural clients, for being open to learn from different cultures, backgrounds and community champions.
