Walking Together 2025

Our Preventive Services for Perinatal Depression (PND) program has been serving trusted community members across our state since 2021. This initiative has supported 186 families without insurance and limited access to mental health services by offering workshops on understanding and advocating for PND, making referrals, and monthly peer support groups.

According to the Washington State Department of Health, approximately 12% of women reported experiencing depression during pregnancy or postpartum. This data is gathered through the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS), which surveys individuals who have recently given birth to understand their experiences before, during, and after pregnancy.
